Site Changes in the Works

Brothers & Sisters,

My apologies for the delayed updating on the calendar.  I’m about a month behind where I wanted to be with the updating of our new website.

Our website was hacked several times in the last few months so Linton Hale graciously worked hard behind the scenes to move the website to a new location and to go through the code with a fine-toothed comb to find the sneaky hidden hacks that kept popping up. Although the appearance, at this point, may not look much different, it will in the coming few months.

We are working on creating a website that is a useful place to check out, besides our basic information:

  • a blog section so that we can discuss issues or concerns, and
  • links to pertinent information.
  • We’d like to share pictures of things we have done and events we have sponsored.
  • Put together a “classified section” so that if you have something to share, trade, or sell… you can post it.
  • A member directory has been requested as well.  I know if I had a choice I’d probably want to support another grange member’s business rather than corporate america.
  • Private, members only, information section

If there are other things you would like to see, please send me an email with any suggestions. There is a form below to make it quick and easy.

Time to Contribute

I’m also looking for other people to assist with the website information.

We have someone who can handle most of the backend of the website, but I think it is important for many members to contribute to the information actually provided on our site.  That information area will be expanding (come hell or high water!) I mean, that is part of our focus, isn’t it… to share?

Please shoot me an email if you can contribute basically, a blog posting, on some subject that would be relevant to grange members. That’s a pretty broad field, so no excuses, there is something that I’m betting everyone can share with others.  Remember, it’s important to mentor to others, in what ever way we can. Don’t be surprised if I send YOU an email requesting some info on a particular topic… I know we have a cornucopia of experts and writers among our members.

Sincerely,

Amy D
